Why are pedigree cats registered and where are you registered?Pedigree cats are registered to ensure and maintain the integrity of their lineage and breed standards. At PalicoCoons, we prioritize the Pedigree cats are registered to maintain the breed's integrity, ensuring accurate lineage and adherence to breed standards. By registering our Maine Coons with The International Cat Association (TICA), we demonstrate our commitment to preserving the breed's unique qualities. Registration also benefits cat owners by providing proof of pedigree, access to breed-specific information, and the opportunity to participate in cat shows and competitions.

How much are your kittens?The price of our Maine Coon kittens varies depending on factors such as lineage, coat pattern, and intended purpose (pet or breeding). Our kittens typically start at $2500 for pet-only options. Breeding rights are available for qualified buyers and prices will vary accordingly. We believe in transparent pricing and are happy to discuss pricing in more detail based on your specific interests.

Do you have a waiting list?We do not maintain a traditional waiting list. Our kittens become available for reservation at eight weeks old on a first-come, first-served basis. However, we do offer a priority list for those interested in siblings, breeding rights and repeat customers. Please contact us for more information on the priority list.

How can I reserve a kitten?Our kittens are highly sought after, and litters fill up quickly. To ensure you don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome a PalicoCoons kitten into your home, we encourage you to subscribe to our mailing list. You will be among the first to know when our kittens are born. Kittens are typically announced to our subscribers at 3 weeks old and become available for reservation at 8 weeks of age with a non-refundable deposit.

In what circumstance is the deposit refundable?Your deposit is fully refundable if, due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, we are unable to provide you with the reserved kitten. This includes situations such as unexpected illness or unforeseen complications with the kitten. We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel your reservation, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible. While deposits are generally non-refundable, we are committed to working with you to find a solution. This may include applying your deposit towards a future kitten or exploring other options. Circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters or unforeseen global events, may prevent us from fulfilling your reservation. In these cases, deposits may be non-refundable. We will always strive to communicate openly and honestly with our customers during such challenging times.

Do I have to pay tax on my kitten?Yes, MN requires 8.125% sales tax on all kittens sold as pets. For more information on state sales tax, please visit the Minnesota Department of Revenue website.

Where is PalicoCoons located?PalicoCoons is located in Burnsville, Minnesota. If you live outside the area, we do have delivery options for additional fees.

Do you deliver?Yes, we offer kitten delivery services for your convenience. To ensure the safe arrival of your new furry family member, we provide both personal delivery and courier options. Delivery fees may apply and vary depending on your location.

Do you have a contract?Yes, we require a contract for all kitten adoptions. The contract outlines the terms of sale, including health guarantees, payment terms, and the breeder’s responsibilities. It also details your rights and responsibilities as the new kitten owner. You will recieve a copy of our contract prior to reserving a kitten to assure you are comfortable with our terms. What is included with my new kitten?-Your kitten will be vaccinated at 8 weeks and 12 weeks with FRVCP: Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Calicivirus (C), Feline Panleukopenia (P). -Your kitten will have fecal testing done and dewormed as needed. -Your kitten will be microchipped. -Your kitten will also come with a care package.

Do you provide registration papers?Yes! After you provide proof of spay/neuter, you will receive your kitten's pedigree in the mail. This helps ensure the health and well-being of the kitten population and upholds breed standards.

Do you provide a health guarantee?PalicoCoons is dedicated to breeding healthy, happy Maine Coon kittens. All our breeding cats undergo rigorous health testing, including DNA testing for over 40 hereditary conditions. We offer a comprehensive 3-year health guarantee covering specified hereditary conditions to provide peace of mind for our clients. For complete details, please refer to our kitten contract.

Can I visit your cattery before adopting a kitten?Unfortunately, we do not allow visitors to our cattery. This decision is made to protect the health and well-being of our kittens and to maintain a stress-free environment for them. We understand the desire to meet a kitten in person before adopting, and we strive to provide as much information as possible to help you make an informed decision. We offer a variety of options to connect with you and our kittens, including high-quality photos, videos, and virtual meet-and-greets. If you're particularly interested in a specific kitten, we can arrange an in-person meeting under controlled conditions. We believe this approach ensures the safety and happiness of our kittens while still allowing potential adopters to get to know them.
